Team Matrix was born from late-night discussions and a shared passion for cybersecurity. Founded by a group of security enthusiasts at SCIT, Pune, we've grown into a dynamic community committed to making information security an integral part of everyday life.

Guided by the values and principles of esteemed communities like ISACA, we aim to inspire confidence and enable innovation through technology. Our collaboration with Null, the Open Security Community, reflects our commitment to raising security awareness, advancing cutting-edge research, and creating a centralized knowledge platform for cybersecurity professionals and enthusiasts.

Team Matrix Shines at MCCIA's White Paper Submission Competition





We are proud to share that our students, Anubhav Mathur and Isha Chavan from Team Matrix, the Cybersecurity Committee of Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT), secured 1st place in a prestigious white paper submission competition on "AI in Cybersecurity." The competition was organized by MCCIA in collaboration with the Pune International Chapter.

Under the expert guidance of Dr. Vidyavati Ramteke, the team presented a compelling white paper that explored the dual role of artificial intelligence as both a defensive and offensive tool in the cybersecurity landscape. Their submission stood out for its in-depth research, practical insights, and forward-thinking recommendations to combat emerging cyber threats and enhance preventive security strategies.

The achievement was further recognized at the Asia Economic Dialogue 2025 held in Pune, where the team received an award for their outstanding contribution to the field of AI-driven cybersecurity. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for our students and highlights SCIT’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in cybersecurity. MCCIA honoured Team Matrix with "Cybersecurity Club of the Month" Award

We are proud to announce that Team Matrix from the Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT) has been recognized as the Cybersecurity Club of the Month by the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture (MCCIA) under their pioneering Cybersecurity Initiative.MCCIA's Cybersecurity Initiative is transforming Pune into a cybersecurity hub by fostering collaboration between academia and industry. It empowers students and professionals to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. As part of MCCIA's Cybersecurity Initiative, Team Matrix from Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT) stood out through its impactful contributions. The team organized the Cyberon Workshop on “The Human Element: Securing the Intersection of People and Technology,” which emphasized the critical role of human factors in cybersecurity. They also conducted engaging technical competitions such as Capture the Flag (CTF) and Hackerscape, effectively blending hands-on skill-building with interactive learning experiences. Additionally, the team led an outreach initiative, Cyber Jagrukta Diwas (CJD), at Akashvani Pune Kendra, where they educated staff on cybersecurity best practices. These initiatives reflect the team's holistic approach to cybersecurity—fostering both technical proficiency and community awareness. This recognition is a testament to Team Matrix’s dedication to cybersecurity excellence, hands-on learning, and community outreach. It reflects our commitment to nurturing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and contributing to a secure digital ecosystem.
